Finding The Right Sunglasses For Your Face

Currently, with designer fastion and global warming all around us, a pair of sunglasses is a must have for both. A good pair of sunglasses will finish off your outfit and they can also sometimes cover up your eyes after a night on the town. As for the global warming side of matters, as the Earths temperature is getting hotter, your eyes are constantly in need of protection from damaging UV rays.

So now after justifying the reasons for buying new sunglasses, you now have to make the tricky decision to decide which pair would best suite you. Now that’s where the whole decision making becomes complicated.

Just like when choosing normal glasses, the decision made all starts with the shape of your face. The majority of people come under 2 different face shapes, round and oval. A round face is where the width and height of the face are almost the same, and generally a round faced person knows that they have a round face. As for oval shaped faces, if you are not round, then you are most likely oval, this is where the length of your face is longer than the width.

Once you have chosen which face shape you are, you can then make a decision as to which shape sunglasses you should get. If you have a rounded face then the best option for you would be a rectangular or square frame. If you do have a more rounded face then you are limited slightly because some designer companies don’t make rectangle or square glasses.

If you have more of an oval shaped face, you can get away with pretty much wearing anything you want. You are not limited by any shape or size, you can opt for the bigger styles like celebrities, or maybe something a little smaller is more your taste, either one will look right.Police sunglasses or possibly you would prefer a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, you should be able to pull it off.

There are a couple of other face shapes that you may have if you don’t fit into either oval or circle. If you have more of a heart shaped face then you would be best suited to some thin rimmed aviation style glasses. Finally, if you think you have a square face, then you don’t really want to add more angles, so a curved pair of sunglasses would be the best for your face shape.

Hopefully you’ll find these tips useful when you buy your next pair of sunglasses. Just remember through, just because you pay a high price for the sunglasses, it doesn’t mean that they will protect you against UV rays. Make sure they have a sticker on them saying how well they really do protect you and look to see whether they are CR39 lenses which complies by the European guidelines.
